STORE LEAD SALES CONSULTANT (Washington, DC Only)

REQUIREMENTS: The Store Lead Consultant must be creative, with a working knowledge of computers, word processing systems, database management software, able to prioritize tasks, focus on multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Proven leadership skills and well versed on Nubian Hueman Mission and purpose.   This position is integral to our family as it serves as the nucleus, face, and standard for the business (between the customer, store teams, and Owner). Store Lead Consultant will work a minimum of 20 hours per week. Sixty (60) day training / probationary period is required. A final assessment will be made after sixty-day period.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Proactive problem prevention and issue resolution skills.
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, self-motivated, able to work independently, passionate, and hardworking.
  • Solid and working knowledge of POS systems, scheduling, Microsoft Office products and/or Mac and various online programs.
  • Must possess strong creative and leadership skills.
  • Analytical, articulate, results-oriented and has excellent follow-up skills.
  • Able to lead and meet with team weekly/bi-weekly.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must have open availability.

  • Create and maintain an environment that is customer and team focused
  • Ensure an elevated level of sales and service is practiced by all associates; Lead by example and maintain the highest level of integrity at all times
      • Ensure appearance and grooming standards are professional and reflective of the brand at all times and in season
      • Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff and interns; follow up on work results.
  • Support with administrative tasks such as recruitment of high-quality candidates, scheduling, performance appraisals, and reporting
  • Adhere to and ensure all associates understand and practice our standards of professionalism and service standards
  • Communicate on a regular basis with CEO and store team to ensure a constant flow of information

  • Provide outstanding customer service.
  • Build and maintain a repeat clientele with constant client communication.
  • Keep sales floor and merchandise clean, neat, organized and stocked.
  • Expert on product knowledge by keeping current on all new collections, as well as, core product. lines and develop product knowledge among sales staff.
  • Assist in the maintenance of all inventory in the stockroom and on the selling floor.
  • Set the tone for store culture and environment to ensure success in all aspects of customer. service, profitability, operations, associate development, loss prevention, merchandise flow, presentation, and store maintenance.
  • Adhere to and enforce Nubian Hueman standards, policies and procedures.

  • Ensure orders and deliveries are properly processed in a timely manner.

  • Monitor sales trends and execute plans to maximize sales within the store.
  • Demonstrate the ability to plan, prioritize and control the workflow.
  • Manage store expenses and sales goals.

     

     

    COMPENSATION/PERKS:  

    • Compensation paid on an hourly basis unless noted otherwise.
    • Paid holiday if store is closed on a normally scheduled work day.
    • 25% off all full priced purchases or Sale items if 25% is best percentage off original price.
    • Bi-annual assessments with annual pay review.
