Carla Hall gained fame on Bravo's “Top Chef” and later co-hosted ABC’s Emmy-winning “The Chew” for seven years. She currently judges on the Food Network's baking shows and “Worst Cooks in America.” Her 2018 cookbook, Carla Hall’s Soul Food: Everyday and Celebration, received critical acclaim and an NAACP Image Award nomination. In 2024, she will be honored with the Grande Dame title by Les Dames d’Escoffier for her contributions to the culinary field. Carla also authored a children’s book, Carla and the Christmas Cornbread, and is actively involved in various charities, focusing on advocacy for children.
