Kwame Onwuachi
Kwame Onwuachi is a James Beard Award-winning chef and author of the acclaimed cookbook My America and memoir Notes from a Young Black Chef, which is being adapted into a film by A24. Recognized as one of Food & Wine’s Best New Chefs and Esquire’s 2019 Chef of the Year, he has also appeared on Time’s 100 Next List. Kwame has judged on Top Chef and hosted the James Beard Awards. As Food & Wine’s executive producer, he leads significant brand events and created "The Family Reunion," celebrating diversity in hospitality. His restaurant Tatiana, opened at Lincoln Center in 2022, earned top honors, including being named “The #1 Restaurant in New York City” by The New York Times. In 2024, he will open a new restaurant, Dōgon, in partnership with Salamander DC hotel.
